Historical AUM Charts
These six tabs are highlighted because they are the institutional allocator classes SWFI's AUM history has always tracked: Pensions, Central Banks, SWFs, Superannuation, Endowments and Foundations. Every other entity type in SWFI, including Asset Manager and Financial Holding Company, is not a tab only because it is not one of those allocator classes; each is in the "All source entity types" list below and charts the same way.

Smoothing only affects the Smoothed AUM column and the chart line. Entities disclose AUM in different years, so the raw yearly totals have gaps; smoothing fills those gaps so the series can be read as a trend. Raw AUM, the entity-level records and the native-currency totals are never changed by smoothing. Filled values are shown as hollow markers on the chart and as Point Type Smoothed in the table.
- Linear Interpolation (selected):
- For a year with no source disclosures, draws a straight line between the nearest disclosed years before and after it. Gaps longer than five years stay empty. Years after the last disclosure repeat the last disclosed value. Disclosed years are unchanged.
- Forward Fill:
- For a year with no source disclosures, repeats the most recent earlier disclosed value. Disclosed years are unchanged.
- Rolling Average (3Y):
- First fills gaps as Linear Interpolation does, then replaces every year with the average of that year and the years either side of it. This is the only option that changes disclosed years, so Smoothed AUM then differs from Raw AUM.
- None (raw):
- Shows only the years that have source disclosures. No value is estimated.
